What is Sadhana?
Sadhana is the daily practice that holds everything else. It is the moment before the world enters.
Before the phone. Before the messages. Before the noise.
Before the identity you wear during the day begins to take over.
In Kundalini, Sadhana is not only meditation. It is a complete daily practice that may include breathwork, movement, mantra, meditation, and deep stillness. It is how you train your energy before life trains it for you.
What Is Sadhana?
The word Sadhana means daily spiritual practice.
In Kundalini yoga, Sadhana is the daily discipline of showing up to practice, usually in the early morning, to regulate the nervous system, clear the mind, awaken energy, and align the body before the day begins.
A Kundalini Sadhana may include: Breathwork. Kriya. Mantra. Meditation. Stillness. Deep listening.
The purpose is not perfection. The purpose is repetition.
You return every day, because every day you are building the inner structure that allows you to meet life with more steadiness, clarity, and power.
Why Sadhana Matters
Most people begin the day already invaded.
They wake up and immediately open the phone. The nervous system receives messages, demands, opinions, emails, fear, comparison, and stimulation before the body has even arrived.
Sadhana reverses that.
You begin with yourself. You breathe before you react. You chant before you speak. You move energy before it becomes tension. You sit before the world pulls you outward. This is why Sadhana is not a luxury. It is energetic hygiene.
The Lineage
My practice is rooted in Kundalini yoga as taught through the tradition I studied in India and the US under Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa.
I am certified by the Kundalini Research Institute and Yoga Alliance, with more than 550 hours of training.
But Sadhana is not something I speak about only from training. It is something I live.
Every morning, for the last 6 years, I have been practicing before I teach. Before I create. Before I lead. Before I hold space for others.
This is the foundation of Kundalini Tribe.
What Happens During Sunrise Sadhana?
Sunrise Sadhana with Kundalini Tribe is a live morning practice guided online.
The practice may include Kundalini kriya, breathwork, mantra, meditation, and silent integration. Some mornings are strong.
Some mornings are subtle. Some mornings are emotional. Some mornings are quiet.
The point is not to perform a perfect practice. The point is to enter the day from a different frequency.
At 6 AM Eastern, on weekdays, we gather live on Zoom. You practice from home, but you are not practicing alone.
You enter a field of discipline, devotion, and community.
Why Practice at Sunrise?
The early morning carries a different quality.
In Kundalini, the hours before and around dawn are considered a powerful time for practice because the mind is quieter, the world is less active, and the nervous system is more receptive. Practicing before the day begins creates a different relationship with your energy.
You are not trying to repair yourself after the day breaks you apart. You are preparing your system before the day asks anything from you.
That is the difference.
The Discipline of Sadhana
Sadhana is not sustained by motivation. Motivation is unstable. It comes and goes like a badly trained dog.
Discipline is different. Discipline is the structure that holds you when your mood changes.
Some days you will want to practice. Some days you will not. Some days you will feel deeply connected.
Some days you will feel nothing. You still show up. That is where the transformation begins.
Not in the perfect morning. Not in the beautiful candle moment. Not in the romantic idea of devotion.
It begins when you keep your word to yourself.\
Why Most People Fail at Solo Sadhana
Most people do not fail because they lack depth. They fail because they lack structure.
Practicing alone sounds beautiful until the alarm rings, the bed is warm, the mind negotiates, and the phone starts glowing like a tiny demon with WiFi. A live practice changes that. You know there is a time. You know there is a space. You know someone is holding the container.
You know others are practicing too. The field helps carry the discipline.
This is one of the reasons Kundalini Tribe offers Sunrise Sadhana live, not only as recordings.
Because energy builds through consistency and community.

How to Start
If you are new to Sadhana, do not begin by trying to become a saint before breakfast. Begin simply. Wake up. Drink water. Sit on your mat.
Breathe. Move. Chant if you can. Stay.
You do not need to understand everything before you begin. You do not need to know the mantras. You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to feel ready. The practice will meet you where you are.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Sadhana and meditation?
Meditation is one part of Sadhana. Sadhana is the full daily practice. It may include breathwork, movement, mantra, meditation, and stillness.
How long should Sadhana be?
Traditional Kundalini Sadhana can be longer, but modern practitioners need consistency before intensity. Start with what you can sustain. A shorter daily practice done consistently is more powerful than a long practice done once every three weeks. Our Sadhana last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Do I need experience to join Sunrise Sadhana?
No. You can begin exactly where you are. I strongly recommend you to take one Kundalini class before attending sadhana to become familiar with your energy.
Do I need to chant?
You are invited to chant, but you are never forced. You can listen first. Over time, sound becomes part of the practice.
Can I practice from home?
Yes. Sunrise Sadhana is live online, so you can practice from home while being held inside a shared field.
Is Sunrise Sadhana included in the Kundalini Tribe Membership?
Yes. Sunrise Sadhana is included in the Kundalini Tribe Membership, along with the app, replays, live online sessions, in person classes, tribe gatherings, and selected Miami experiences.
The Door Is Open
Sadhana is not about becoming someone else. It is about returning to yourself before the world tells you who to be.
Every morning is a doorway. You can enter distracted. You can enter tired. You can enter emotional. You can enter imperfect.
Just enter.
The practice will do what it does.
